Perfect Pink & White Edge Trimmer Instruction

Pink and White Acrylic Nails Using Forms

Shape free edge

    1. Clean nails and remove polish. Push back cuticle.

   2.    Remove shine from natural nail surface.  Buff lightly over nail plate with medium /fine abrasive to remove the natural oil.

   3.   Apply nail antiseptic.  Apply nail antiseptic to nails with cotton-tipped orangewood stick, cotton, or spray.

   4.     Position nail form on nail.  If you are using disposable forms, peel a nail form from its paper backing and using the thumb and index finger of each of your hands, bend the form into an arch to fit the client’s natural nail shape.  Slide the form onto your client’s finger and press adhesive backing to sides of the finger.  Check to see that the form is snug under the free edge and level with the natural nail. If you are using reusable forms, slide the form onto the client’s finger, making sure the free edge is over the form and that it fits snugly.  Tighten the form around the finger by squeezing lightly.

    5.   Apply primer.  Use a primer brush to apply a dot of primer to the natural nail surface.

    6.   Prepare acrylic liquid and powder.  Pour acrylic liquid and acrylic powder into separate small containers.  You will need three small containers-one for the white tip powder, one for the pink powder, and one for the acrylic liquid.

    7.     Dip the tip of the brush into the white acrylic powder.  You will pick up a ball of acrylic product of medium-dry consistency that is large enough for shaping the entire free edge extension, place acrylic ball on the nail form at the point where the free edge joins the nail form.

   8.   Shape free edge,  use brush to dab and press the acrylic to shape an extension.  Using Edge Trimmer simply squeeze to clean and smooth perfect white edge. Follow the natural free edge line to produce the perfect smile line French manicure look before acrylic hardens. Be careful not to press on the join and on the nail form.

   9.    Pick up a ball of pink acrylic of medium consistency and place it on the natural nail next to the free edge line in center of nail.  Dab and press product to sidewalls, making sure the product is very thin around all edges.

   10.    Apply acrylic beads.  Pick up small, wet beads of pink acrylic powder on your brush and place at cuticle area.  Use the moisture in the brush to smooth the beads over entire nail plate.  Glide brush over nail to smooth out imperfections.  Acrylic application near cuticle, sidewall, and free edge should be extremely thin for a natural-looking nail.

   11.      Remove forms.  When nails are thoroughly dry, loosen forms and slide them off.  Nails are dry when they make a clicking sound when lightly tapped.

    12.     Shape nails.  Use coarse/medium abrasive to shape free edge and to remove imperfections.  Glide abrasive over each nail with long sweeping strokes to further shape and perfect nail surface.  Make nails thinner toward cuticles, free edge, and sidewalls.

    13.      Buff nails.  Buff nails with block buffer until entire surface is smooth.

    14.   Seal the nails. Use Pink & White sealer or seal with Clear Gel  to protects nails against solvent attack and stains.
